Tex Numbers - these are shown next to some of the threads. The Tex system is a way of comparing threads, the Tex number is the weight in grams of 1,000 mtr of thread, in this system the higher the number the thicker the thread. We have worked out the tex numbers were we can and hopefully this will aid you when trying to see if a thread is suitable. As most suppliers do not give both a weight and length of their threads, all tex numbers are approximate except for Precensia threads who list the Tex numbers on their threads.
